quick play keys at top not working

On the top of the keyboard are touch keys for the quick play feature. It includes the mute and volume keys. None of them are now working....

dv2000 blank/black screen

Powered up pc, logged on, screen started squiggly diagonal lines, shut unit down. Now when powered up I can't see anything on the screen I don't know if it's running or not....

Replaced hard drive, and now have a blank screen...
